PARKGATE ROTAKIDS WALK THE WIRRAL COASTAL WALK FOR STICK 'N' STEP

What a Success - Well Done Everyone!

Parkgate Primary School Rotakids along with their friends, families and teachers (and 'Charlie' the dog), took part in the 15 mile Wirral Coastal Walk on Sunday 12th June.  The walkers ranged from 7 years to 70 years!  They walked to raise money for Stick 'n' Step, a local charity who support children with cerebral palsy and their families.

The children were all absolutely amazing and walked through mud and heavy rain to complete this challenge. They were still smiling at the end - a huge WELL DONE  to them.

The Rotakids would like to thank everyone who has sponsored them on their Just Giving page (please see link below) or in the school playground last week.  They have completely smashed their target of £500 and are on their way to raising £2,000.  This is an incredible amount and the money is still coming in.  An ENORMOUS thank you to everyone for all your support.

On Thursday 3rd March the staff and children of Parkgate Primary School dressed up as characters from their favourite books to help celebrate World Book Day and support Claire House.  Together we raised a fantastic £184. Thank you to everyone for all their hard work and support.

Daffodil and Crocus Bulb Sale for the 'End Polio' Campaign

Parkgate Primary School's latest venture saw the children in Year 6 planting and caring for daffodil and crocus bulbs and plants. This raised £65 towards the 'End Polio' campaign. Bill Gates (Microsoft) will treble this amount.  thank you to everyone who supported the sale.

'Wear It Purple day and Cake Sale' for the 'End Polio' Campaign

The Rotakids organised a whole school cake sale and 'Wear It Purple' day to help raise money for the Rotary Club's 'End Polio' campaign.  The Rotary Club of Great Britain are working hard to eradicate polio completely from the world and we wanted to help.   Everyone (including the staff) came to school wearing as much purple as possible - some children had even sprayed their hair purple!  In the afternoon, we held a cake sale for our friends and family.  The hall was packed full of people and we raised an incredible £385.

Bill Gates (from Microsoft) will treble any amount we raise as this is also a charity he supports).

An enormous thank you to all the bakers, stylists and customers who helped to make this such a fun and memorable day!
