Classes - Lemurs

  Welcome to Lemur Class

We have had great fun this term with our topic ‘Do you live round here?’ We have been looking at the different places where people, animals and plants live – their habitat.

First of all, we started by searching for habitats in the school grounds and found lots of clues to the creatures that live here such as feathers and half eaten leaves! Here are some of the things we found…

We used all this information to write our own report about everything we have learnt so far. This has included how animals are suited to the environments they live in and how homes around the world are adapted to the climate they are in.

Science

In Science we have been, ‘Helping plants grow,’ where we have learnt about what plants need to be healthy. Now, we can name each part of the plant and we know what their jobs are too!

Here are some pictures of our investigation to find out if plants need their leaves to stay healthy. We had great fun looking after our plants!

Numeracy

In Maths we have been learning to measure, recognise 2D shapes and lines of symmetry. We do a mental maths test and a maths challenge activity once a week which we really enjoy as we get to solve a problem using whatever strategy we like!

French

We all really enjoy our French lessons. We can say ‘Hello!’ and ask ‘How are you?’ now and we hope we can put it to good use if we go on holiday to France!
