Homework & Spellings

Please encourage your children to attend homework club on a Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.

This half term we are studying the rainforest! The english homework below links in nicely with our theme for Geography too! I have given you mini projects to be completed each week which are to be handed in on a Monday when our homework is usually due in. The red starred tasks can be completed in any order, the golden task is a challenge homework for an extra 20 dojos (This can be completed and handed in at any point during the half term) please note the golden task is optional!

Maths Homework for Summer 2

A slight change for this half term, there will be no my maths homework. I will be sending home mental arithmetic tests each week for the children to practise. Below, I have attached the weekly tests along with the marking scheme which is located at the end of each test sheet. This does not mean you have to mark them! It means if you would like the answers they are there.

English Homework

Alternative homework is located below if you do not wish to complete the creative homework tasks.

Miss Noonan's Spelling group

Miss Taylor's group is now Miss Noonan's group. This group will now be having spelling lessons everyday to boost their confidence in spelling and support them in spelling patterns/rules and application. Therefore the children will be tested on 8 - 10 spellings that use the pattern/rule they have been taught in the week.

Year 4 Maths Homework –

Each week, your maths homework will be on MyMaths. If you don't have access to a computer or the internet then please come to homework club.

During this half term, I would like the children to practise their multiplication and division - using the short method for multiplication and the bus stop method for division. Could you also encourage your child to practise their times tables. In year 4 we practise all the times tables from 2 - 12.
