Practise reading these set 2 sounds each day -
Each day there will be a Set 3 focus sound e.g. 'ea' and review sounds e.g. 'ph' and 'wh'. Practise reading the sounds and words containing the sounds. Ask an adult to choose 3 words containing the focus sound and 2 words from each review sound - spell them without looking. Use your fred fingers to help you - say the word and pinch the sounds e.g. d-r-ea-m.

Today you are going to learn about command sentences. These are sentences that tell us to do something. You will recap imperative (bossy) verbs, like we have used before when writing instructions.
Watch the video and complete activities 1 and 2 or 3. Write 5 command sentences (for activity 2 or 3) - can you underline/highlight the imperative verbs in your sentences?

Activity 1 - Turning game. Print off (or make) the instruction cards and put them in a pile. Taking it in turns with somebody, run/hop/skip/jump to the cards and pick one. Read out the instruction for your partner, which they will complete.
Activity 2 - Create an obstacle course in a safe place. Ask someone to give you instructions to make your way around the obstacle course using language such as left, right, straight on, half turn, full turn etc. Once you have complete the obstacle course, swap over and you give the instructions!
