Phonics

Practise reading these set 2 sounds each day -

 

Each day there will be a Set 3 focus sound e.g. 'ea' and review sounds e.g. 'ph' and 'wh'. Practise reading the sounds and words containing the sounds. Ask an adult to choose 3 words containing the focus sound and 2 words from each review sound - spell them without looking. Use your fred fingers to help you - say the word and pinch the sounds e.g. d-r-ea-m.

Today, you are going to practise spelling the days of the week. Watch the video and practise spelling the days of the week - don't forget capital letters!

 

Then you are going to practise using capital letters and nouns. Watch the video and complete activity 1.

Maths

Today you are going to have a go at partitioning numbers.

 

Activity 1 - Watch the video and complete the worksheet. Answers are attached. 

 

Activity 2 - Using the number cards you made yesterday (or the printable ones below), shuffle them up and turn them over so you can't see them. Pick a card - How many tens has it got? How many ones? Write some down e.g. 67 = 6 tens and 7 ones
