PTA

Welcome to the PTA Information Page

About us

We are very fortunate at our school to have a PTA that is such an integral part of the
school community.  The PTA has raised thousands of pounds which has been spent
on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children's education. All
parents/carers are automatically members of the Association when their children join
the school.

What we do

The PTA arranges a number of events throughout the year, including the Halloween
Disco, the Christmas Fair, Springo Bingo and the Summer Fair. The idea of these
events is to provide entertaining and enjoyable activities for our children and their
families, while raising funds for the school. The PTA put a lot of effort into these
events, and they are always a lot of fun, so we hope to see you there!

Over recent years, funds have been used to help support a range of things, big and
small - from the helping to fund the new school stage, the school trip to the panto,
and the year 1 toy workshop, to purchasing iPads, keyboards and a sound mixer for
the school. Even the small things, like providing the ice lollies at Sports Day and the
crackers at Christmas lunch are greatly appreciated by the children!

Second Hand Uniform Shop

The PTA second hand uniform shop was started in the academic year 2024/5, with
the aim to help parents with the cost of uniform, reduce waste and help the
environment. It proved to be very popular, and is here to stay!

Sales are normally run at the end of each half term, and are advertised in advance via email. The uniform is all very good quality and prices are low, so if you need anything, do please pop
along to a sale, have a browse and grab a bargain! If you have anything to donate,
please contact the PTA on the email address below.

Join us!

We are a friendly bunch of people, who meet once or twice a half term, to plan and
organise fundraising events for our school, and we are always on the lookout for new
members! Whether you have lots of time to attend meetings and help plan things, or
you have less time and just want to support us at an event, we would love to hear
from you!

You don’t have to commit to fully joining the PTA - we also have a wider group of
people who like to volunteer at events and help in that way. Helping at events is a lot
of fun, and the support is vital to ensuring the events can take place and run
smoothly. Whether you can help at one event or many, any help you can give is
greatly appreciated. If you’d like to support us in this way, just let us know, and we
can add you to our list!

To find out more, come and speak to us, email us at pta@parkgate.cheshire.sch.uk,
or come to our next meeting!

Meetings

The PTA meets on a regular basis, usually once a half term. Meetings are open to
everyone, and attending is not a commitment to joining - so even if you only have a
small amount of time available the extra support is well received. Meetings are
advertised via email from the school.

Please email us at pta@parkgate.cheshire.sch.uk to be added to the distribution list
for the minutes.
