School Clubs
At Parkgate, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities that take place before school, during lunchtimes, and after school. Some of these activities are delivered by school staff, while others are provided by external organisations e.g Mad Science and Full of Beans.
Music
Welcome to Music at Parkgate Primary School. We are very lucky to have so many musically talented children at our school and we try to provide as many activities and clubs as possible to accommodate children of every age and level.
Choir
The school also has a choir who enjoy singing a wide variety of songs, ranging from ABBA classics to traditional Christmas carols. The choir performs at a number of events throughout the year, including visits to Hallwood Court, Clatterbridge Hospital, Claire House Children’s Hospice, the Christmas Fair, and Neston Parish Church, among others.
We are always keen to welcome new members. If you are interested in joining, please speak to Mrs Foster or Mr Hewson
Ukulele Groups
Tuesday, before school, is our Ukulele group run by Mr. Jolliffe. Please speak to him if you would like to join he is in school on Tuesday mornings.

Sports
Sport and physical fitness play an important role for children at Parkgate Primary. All pupils receive two hours of curriculum time dedicated to physical education each week, alongside a range of extracurricular clubs such as football, dodgeball, multi-skills, cross country, and netball. Pupils also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of inter-school competitions.
Lego Club
LEGO Club takes place each Friday at lunchtime in the Year 2 classroom and is organised by Year 6 pupils. The club is open to children in Key Stage 1 and provides an opportunity for them to spend time with friends building LEGO models and exploring LEGO-themed books in a relaxed and creative environment.
