World Book day

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the help and support you have given your children to make World Book Day such a success today. The children look amazing and we have thoroughly enjoyed listening to and watching their book character presentations.  All the staff have entered into the spirit of the day and have come dressed as characters from 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. We would also like to thank Noah, Ethan and Freya's Mum for her time and patience taking a staff photo at lunchtime! Please keep an eye on our website for photographs!
This year we are also delighted to be supporting Claire House. Today we have so far raised £173. Thank you to everyone who has supported them with a donation.  We would be grateful if any outstanding money could be brought into school as soon as possible. Thank you for your generosity. Avril from Claire House visited school two weeks ago along with her friend, 'Claire Bear'. She explained to the children how the money they raise will help the children at Claire House access books using special 'Sensory Books'. She also popped in today dressed as a scarecrow to see the children's wonderful costumes.
Thank you also to the PTA for organising the Book Swap and to everyone who supported this. Over 240 books were donated allowing children to swap a token for a book.  In addition to this, all pupils will be given a World Book Day Book Token tonight. They can exchange this for one of the special World Book Day books or use it in part payment for a book at any participating bookstore.
Once again, thank you for all your support.
